Sakmeniko in Javanese means “now” and “today”, which resembles the value of Bedhaya Ketawang dance of Surakarta that represents the perfect strokes of life before death; an enlightenment to appreciate life, be present and thankful of each day. The 9 hand-stitches details in each key pieces symbolized the 9 performers of the sacred dance and the 9 chakras inside of us.
