Cotton USA invited AKSU to join their fashion exhibition on May 4th 2019, which was held in Kempinski Hotel Jakarta. We were requested to mix our unique and signature silhouettes into a look that presented their quality of fabric materials.

The look and its construction were inspired by a traditional Indonesian dish, the “Ketupat”. With its squared shape, clean weaving wrap, and famously known as a must-have during the Muslim holy month of Ramadhan; the Ketupat is a dish that symbolized purity and perfection.

Using denim fabrics, we incorporated hand stitches as one of our signature details, as well as the technique of overlapping and weaving construction.
